How CityTask works today

One request. Manual review. Direct follow-up.

CityTask currently accepts service requests for manual review and direct follow-up. When CityTask can support and accepts a request, it handles the service process on the customer's behalf through completion follow-up. It is not yet a fully launched marketplace.

What CityTask does

We review and coordinate requests instead of selling instant-booking promises.

CityTask collects the request, helps clarify important details, follows up directly, and may attempt to coordinate with an independent provider. Every request still requires review, and a submission alone does not guarantee a provider, price, appointment, completion, or outcome.

Clarify the need

We organize the description, property details, photos, timing, access needs, and questions.

Review service fit

We consider the service type, location, known scope, and whether useful follow-up is possible.

Follow up directly

We contact the requester to clarify next steps instead of treating the form as a confirmed booking.

The current journey

From first description to a separately confirmed next step.

Each step is intended to reduce ambiguity before anyone relies on a price, schedule, provider, or payment term.

Tell us what you need

Submit one request in your own words. Add photos, timing, access details, and anything that helps CityTask understand the property and work.

CityTask reviews the request

A person reviews the request for service type, location, timing, access, and missing information. Submission does not create an instant booking.

CityTask follows up directly

CityTask may clarify the request and discuss availability, possible scope, pricing information, scheduling, and provider coordination.

Confirm every job-specific term

Before work begins, confirm the provider identity, exact scope, price, materials, timing, access, cancellation terms, and payment method that apply to that job.

How we are different

One reviewed request instead of multiple automatic sales contacts.

What CityTask does not promise

  • Instant booking or guaranteed provider availability.
  • A final price based only on a short online description.
  • Guaranteed scheduling, completion, workmanship, or results.
  • Live CityTask escrow, refunds, disputes, or provider payouts.

What CityTask currently provides

  • One request enters one manual review process.
  • CityTask follows up directly when more detail is needed.
  • Published pricing guides can support planning but are not final quotes.
  • Important job terms should be confirmed before work begins.

Current payment status

CityTask does not currently collect or manage job payments through the website.

CityTask does not currently collect customer payments, place card holds, hold or escrow funds, process refunds, or issue provider payouts through citytask.app.

No charge at intake

Submitting a request does not authorize a card or bank charge.

Confirm payment separately

Customers and providers must confirm the applicable payment method and terms before work begins.

No live platform protection

Do not rely on CityTask escrow, payment release, refund, dispute, warranty, or payout promises today.

Any future online payment or protection feature will require an explicit verified launch, updated public terms, operational controls, and qualified legal review.

Clear expectations

What customers and providers should confirm.

Customers

  • Describe the work accurately and disclose access or safety issues.
  • Confirm provider identity, scope, price, materials, and timing.
  • Confirm cancellation and payment terms before work begins.
  • Keep important estimates, messages, receipts, and photos.

Providers

  • Confirm the work and price before starting.
  • Communicate delays, unsafe conditions, or blocked access promptly.
  • Keep relevant receipts, notes, messages, and completion records.
  • Follow applicable licensing, insurance, tax, safety, and legal requirements.

Check the current operating limits before relying on a feature.
