CityTask trust and current service status

Know what CityTask does today—and what is not live yet.

CityTask currently accepts service requests for manual review and direct follow-up. When CityTask can support and accepts a request, it handles the service process on the customer's behalf through completion follow-up. It is not yet a fully launched marketplace.

What happens today

One request, manual review, and direct follow-up.

CityTask reviews each request based on the requested service, location, and current provider availability. Include your location for review. Submission does not confirm coverage, provider availability, or acceptance.

Submit a service request

Tell CityTask what you need, where the work is located, and how to reach you. Submitting the request is free and does not create a booking or charge.

CityTask reviews it manually

A person reviews the request for service type, location, timing, access, and the details needed for useful follow-up.

CityTask follows up directly

Availability, scope, pricing, scheduling, and any provider coordination are discussed separately. Nothing is guaranteed merely because a request was submitted.

Confirm the next step before work

Before work begins, confirm who will perform it, what is included, the expected price, timing, access requirements, and the payment method that applies to that specific job.

Current payment status

CityTask's online payment and payout system is not live.

CityTask does not currently collect customer payments, place card holds, hold or escrow funds, process refunds, or issue provider payouts through citytask.app.

Do not rely on CityTask escrow or payment protection today

CityTask is not currently offering card authorization holds, escrow, platform-managed refunds, platform dispute decisions, or provider payouts on citytask.app. Payment terms for any coordinated work must be confirmed separately before work begins.

No charge at intake

Submitting a request does not authorize a payment and does not collect card or bank information.

No funds held by CityTask

CityTask does not currently hold customer money or release money to providers through the website.

No platform refund promise

CityTask does not currently advertise a live platform refund, escrow-protection, or payment-dispute program.

Clear expectations

A submitted request is not a guaranteed booking, price, or outcome.

After reviewing a request, CityTask may coordinate with an independent provider. Submission does not guarantee assignment, acceptance, price, timing, or completion.

What CityTask can do

Review request details, contact the requester, clarify needs, and attempt to coordinate with an independent provider when the service and location appear supportable.

What CityTask does not guarantee

Provider availability, assignment, acceptance, scheduling, a particular price, completion, workmanship, insurance coverage, or a specific result.

Protect yourself with clear documentation. Confirm the scope, price, timing, access, materials, payment method, and important changes in writing before relying on them.

Customer checklist

  • Confirm the provider identity and the exact work scope before service begins.
  • Confirm pricing, materials, timing, access, cancellation, and payment terms in writing.
  • Keep relevant messages, estimates, receipts, and before-and-after photos.
  • Contact support@citytask.app promptly when important request details change or a coordination issue occurs.

Independent providers

Providers are responsible for their own work and legal requirements.

Independent service providers are not CityTask employees. CityTask is not an insurer and does not provide insurance for independent providers or their work.

Independent relationship

A provider coordinated through CityTask is not automatically a CityTask employee or agent. Job-specific terms should identify who is performing the work and who is responsible for payment and performance.

Provider documentation

  • Do not begin work until the customer and provider understand the scope and price.
  • Document existing conditions, approved changes, materials, delays, and completion.
  • Use clear written communication and retain relevant photos and receipts.
  • Follow all licensing, insurance, safety, tax, and legal requirements that apply to the work.

Planned capabilities

Future payment or protection features will be announced only after they are actually ready.

CityTask may develop online checkout, documented approvals, payment processing, refund workflows, and provider payout tools. Code, prototypes, or internal tests do not make those capabilities publicly available.

What must happen first

Any future commercial payment launch requires operational approval, production verification, security controls, accurate public disclosures, provider readiness, and qualified legal review. Until CityTask explicitly announces a verified launch, the current non-payment status on this page controls.
