Manual review before coordination
Submitting a request does not create an appointment, assign a provider, or confirm a final price. CityTask reviews each request and follows up directly before work is coordinated.
Safety
CityTask is an operator-managed local-service broker serving NYC and North Jersey. Customers submit service requests, CityTask reviews them manually, and CityTask follows up directly to coordinate next steps. CityTask is not an emergency service, an insurer, an employer of providers, or an escrow company.
Do not use CityTask for an emergency. When there is an immediate threat to life, health, property, utilities, or public safety, contact 911, the relevant utility, your building emergency contact, property manager, or another qualified emergency service. Do not wait for CityTask to review an intake request when immediate help is needed.
Safety starts with accurate information, careful review, clear scope, appropriate qualifications, and honest status updates. CityTask may ask follow-up questions, request additional information, pause coordination, or decline a request when important facts are missing or the work appears unsafe, unlawful, or outside the current operating model.
Submitting a request does not create an appointment, assign a provider, or confirm a final price. CityTask reviews each request and follows up directly before work is coordinated.
CityTask should not state that a provider is assigned, verified, available, scheduled, paid, or finished unless a real record supports that status.
Address, access, phone, email, photos, and property details are used only as needed to review and coordinate the request and support the work.
Customers, providers, and CityTask may pause or decline a request when the scope, location, qualifications, access, payment terms, or site conditions are not clear enough to proceed responsibly.
Customers should provide complete and accurate information, including:
Submitting a request is not a confirmed booking. It does not guarantee provider availability, scheduling, pricing, or completion. CityTask reviews the request and follows up before any work is confirmed.
Customers and authorized business contacts are expected to:
Independent providers are expected to:
Providers are independent contractors, not CityTask employees. CityTask does not control the day-to-day means and methods of their work.
CityTask does not provide insurance and is not an insurer. Any license, permit, certification, registration, bond, insurance, or professional qualification required for a job remains the responsibility of the applicable customer, property owner, business, and independent provider.
CityTask may collect or review provider information, but CityTask will not describe a provider as licensed, insured, background checked, verified, vetted, or approved unless a real record supports that exact statement. Customers should ask for the documentation appropriate to the specific work before it begins.
CityTask may refuse, pause, archive, or require additional review for requests involving:
Everyone involved should:
Only share information reasonably needed to review and coordinate the request. Do not upload passwords, payment card information, bank information, government identification, medical records, unrelated people, confidential business documents, or unnecessary building-security information. Photos should focus on the work area and avoid capturing people or private information when possible.
Communication should remain professional and limited to the request. Do not use customer or provider contact information for unrelated marketing, solicitation, harassment, or side deals. Do not pressure another person to bypass CityTask review, change the agreed scope without approval, or make an unrecorded payment.
No payment is collected through the public intake. Pricing and payment terms are reviewed and confirmed separately before work begins. CityTask will not describe a payment as collected, authorized, held, captured, refunded, paid out, or completed unless a real payment record supports that status.
CityTask does not use the term escrow for its payment process. Customers should never send card details, bank credentials, passwords, or verification codes by email, text, or intake notes.
Work should pause when the requested scope changes materially, unexpected damage or hazards are discovered, or the parties disagree about the work. CityTask may request photos, messages, quotes, receipts, notes, and other relevant records to review what occurred. A review does not mean that CityTask has determined fault, insurance coverage, liability, or a guaranteed outcome.
CityTask should not mark work completed only because a provider says it is finished. Completion should be based on real workflow records, including the provider's report and customer confirmation when required. Report missing, incomplete, damaged, unsafe, or disputed work promptly so the matter can be reviewed before the status advances.
Send safety concerns, suspicious behavior, inaccurate provider claims, privacy concerns, or request-specific issues to support@citytask.app. Include the public request reference and a concise description when available. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, government identification, or unnecessary sensitive documents.
